Main Responsibilities:

  • Report on necessary resource and time usage, job scope expansions, rework, or deferred maintenance.
  • Conduct routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) checks, including vibration and temperature monitoring on designated rotating equipment, and accurately log all readings.
  • Undertake maintenance and repair of static equipment, including valves, pipework, pressure vessels, and storage tanks.
  • Apply sound engineering practices and ensure compliance with standards, tolerances, and fits for all tasks (on-site and in contractor workshops).
  • Conduct troubleshooting and preliminary Root Cause Analysis for equipment and machinery, identifying and formally reporting emerging issues.
  • Execute all planned mechanical activities while strictly adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in the manufacturing or extractive industry.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies:

  • Mechanical upgrading skills (Fitter, Welding, and Turning).
  • Belt splicing technology (cold repair, cold and hot splicing, pulley lagging, and belt alignment).
  • Bearing technology and lubrication.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
