Background
Farm of Dreams Lodge is a hospitality establishment located in Karatu, Tanzania, offering quality accommodation, dining, and tourism experiences to local and international guests. The lodge is committed to delivering exceptional customer service, strengthening its market presence, and expanding its business through effective branding and client engagement strategies. As part of enhancing its marketing and business development operations, the lodge is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced professional for the position of Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for supporting the lodge’s business growth through market research, customer engagement, brand promotion, social media management, and coordination of marketing activities aimed at increasing visibility and attracting clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing a thorough understanding of the company profile, products, services, and operational capabilities.
- Conducting market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and business opportunities.
- Identifying and pursuing potential business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Assisting in organizing and participating in trade fairs, exhibitions, tourism events, and promotional activities.
- Providing administrative support for marketing operations, including budget tracking and coordination of promotional materials.
- Visiting targeted companies, travel agencies, and potential clients to market lodge services and build relationships.
- Managing and growing the lodge’s social media presence across various digital platforms.
- Monitoring and updating the company website to ensure relevant and engaging content.
- Supporting implementation of marketing campaigns and promotional strategies.
- Preparing marketing reports and providing feedback to management on market trends and business opportunities.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety standards during marketing activities.
- Cooperating effectively with other departments and staff to support overall lodge operations.
- Performing any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of a Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Between three (3) and five (5) years of relevant marketing experience, preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel for industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows.
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of hospitality marketing and customer engagement strategies will be an added advantage.
- Female candidates with hospitality industry knowledge are highly encouraged to apply.
