Job Summary:

The Manager is responsible for the overall administrative and operational efficiency of the medical facility or specific clinical departments. This role bridges the gap between clinical staff and administration, ensuring regulatory compliance, financial sustainability, high patient satisfaction, and effective human resource management.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of clinical departments (Outpatient, Inpatient, Nursing). Ensure seamless workflow, patient flow, and optimal staffing levels.

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with the hospital's mission. Plan for future expansion, new services, or technology adoption.

Financial Management: Manage departmental budgets, control operational costs, oversee billing/coding compliance, and analyze financial performance.

Quality & Safety: Lead quality improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with national healthcare standards (e.g., JCI, CBAHI) and safety regulations.

Human Resources: Recruit, train, and evaluate department heads and senior staff. Address staff grievances and foster a positive organizational culture.

Stakeholder Relations: Act as a liaison between the medical staff, patients, and the board of directors. Manage communication regarding operational issues, risk management, and public relations.

Performance Metrics: Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including patient wait times, readmission rates, infection rates, and patient satisfaction scores.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), or Public Health (MPH).

Experience: Minimum 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in a hospital or large clinical setting.

Skills: Strong leadership, conflict resolution, financial acumen, strategic thinking, and exceptional organizational skills. Proficiency in healthcare software (EHR, ERP systems).
