Job Summary
This role supports the maintenance and reliability of electrical and instrumentation systems in an industrial plant environment. The employee assists with preventive and corrective maintenance, calibration of instruments, troubleshooting faults, reading technical diagrams, and ensuring plant equipment operates safely and efficiently with minimal downtime.
Qualifications Required
Minimum NTA Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Instrumentation from a recognized institution.
Basic knowledge of:
- Electrical systems
- Electronics
- Pneumatic circuits
- Fault tracing and rectification
- Reading and interpreting technical diagrams
Experience needed
1–2 years of experience in:
- Plant maintenance
- Industrial electrical systems
- Instrumentation maintenance

- Problem-solving ability
- Attention to safety procedures
- Ability to work in industrial environments
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Maintain motors, MCCs, lighting systems, cables, sensors, switches, and transmitters.
- Calibrate field instruments and verify control loops according to maintenance schedules.
- Assist in troubleshooting PLC panels, junction boxes, and signal wiring faults.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, and other safety procedures.
- Record maintenance activities in logs or computerized maintenance systems (CMMS).
- Support plant shutdown and startup activities.
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental policies.
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and environmental hazards immediately.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards within the work area.
- Suggest improvements to maintenance processes and plant operations.
- Help minimize equipment downtime and maintain system reliability.
