Job Profile
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the maintenance tool store and ensuring the safe custody, availability, issuance, tracking, calibration coordination, and return of tools, equipment, and maintenance consumables required for efficient plant maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accountability for all tools and assets.
- Minimize losses, damages, and replacement costs.
- Maintain accurate stock records and support asset audits.
- Provide timely service to maintenance teams, contractors, and operations personnel.
- Coordinate with procurement, stores, and vendors regarding tooling requirements.
- Receive, inspect, identify, and store tools.
- Issue and receive tools against registers.
- Maintain tool inventory.
- Coordinate calibration of measuring instruments.
- Perform cycle counts.
- Maintain housekeeping and safety standards.
- Report missing or damaged tools.
- Manage tool tagging and traceability.
- Prepare inventory reports.
- Promote teamwork, tool care awareness, and compliance with maintenance store procedures.
- Support training of tool users on correct sign-out and return practices.
Required Skills
- Spares and tools stock management.
- Inventory control.
Qualifications and Experience
- VETA Level II in Fitter Mechanics, Electrical, or related engineering fields.
- Maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility.
- At least one year of experience in stores management.
- Excellent numerical and communication skills.
Terms of Service
The successful candidate will be engaged on a Permanent Contract.
