    • A highly-motivated librarian with excellent attention to detail, who loves working with students and staff, and can manage and organize library resources efficiently.
    • You are able to develop, monitor, and maintain library systems, manage book inventories, and create a welcoming learning environment.
    • You understand the importance of promoting literacy and can inspire students to engage with reading, research, and information gathering.
    • A responsible and dedicated individual who enjoys supporting school events, collaborating with teachers, and organizing library-related activities.
    • You strive for academic excellence, encouraging students to explore new ideas and develop a lifelong love for learning

    What we’re looking for

    • A Tanzanian who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science or a related field from an accredited university within East Africa.
    • Minimum three (3) years of experience in Library management or a related role, preferably in an educational institution.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English to assist students and staff in finding resources and conducting research.
    • A well-rounded, independent, and mature individual with diverse knowledge in library and information science, who observes professional ethics and demonstrates a modern approach to library management, punctuality on tasks and one that can give high quality reports.
    • Someone who is capable of leading and writing library procedures.
    • A librarian with a vibrant, diligent, and approachable personality who fosters a love for reading and learning among students.
    • An individual who is able to adapt to our school’s diverse Policies and Procedures (including working on weekends when required).
    • A skilled person with Oliver Management System, Digital libraries, DDS, stock taking etc.
    • Competent female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
