JOB DETAILS:

SimbaNET is seeking an experienced Legal and Regulatory Manager to advise and guide the management on:

• Business legal, compliance, and regulatory issues in Tanzania, particularly matters arising from:
  • TCRA (Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority)
  • TRA (Tanzania Revenue Authority)
  • TARURA (Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency) – Note: This seems less likely to be directly relevant to a telecom, might be a typo or broader compliance.
  • BRELA (Business Registrations and Licensing Agency)
  • TANESCO (Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited)
  • NSSF (National Social Security Fund)
  • And other relevant regulatory bodies.
• Legal matters within SimbaNET, WGT (Wananchi Group Tanzania), and WCTL (Wananchi Cable Television Limited), including but not limited to contracts, court cases, etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Law (LLB)
• Member of Tanzania Law Society
• Must be practicing and registered as Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths
• Minimum of 3-7 years working experience in legal practice and a business environment.
