Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for providing in-house legal expertise and support in driving various legal cases, legal issues, legal compliance and advise the company on all legal and strategic initiatives.
  • File cases in different courts and handle it till execution (recovery) stage.
  • Review Pending litigation and attend till the closure of litigation.
  • Facilitate preparation of litigation in line with group interest, by coordinating with concerned person within the group.
  • Provide daily updates to the Reporting Officer in terms of legal proceedings
  • Collate / Consolidate supporting documents in a chronological order to manage the case efficiently.
  • Review laws, amendments and support General Management with commercial and legal opinions and recommend measures to mitigate exposure and risks.
  • Review and take corrective actions on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
  • Formulate compliance check-lists to be used for the purpose of ensuring that all information required is provided accordingly.
  • Any other assignments assigned by the company requirements.
  • Review and provide legal advice, draft, negotiate, execute and perfect Agreements.
  • Manage directly or in conjunction with external Counsel ongoing litigation cases in Courts, Arbitration and other venues.
  • Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that where Corporate, Statutory, Corporate, Compliance and other Legal risks are identified, action plans and drawn up and progress is made to always mitigate all external and internal risks as instructed by the Reporting Officer.
  • Review and ensure all contracts are timely reviewed, amended, negotiated and Deeds of Variation are executed.
  • Corporate Governance including all company and trade mark related issues.
  • Registration of company and compliance thereon.
  • To draft agreements and instruments of transfer and finalise registration of transfer on acquiring properties
  • Travelling upcountry for cases as and when required
  • Reporting time may vary depending upon the business requirements
