East African Breweries PLC (EABL) is inviting applications for the position of Key Account Manager based in Arusha, Tanzania.
The role is responsible for managing the delivery of NSV, HLS, and EUs across take-home business channels, including supermarkets, convenient stores, petro-marts, duty-free outlets, hotels, clubs, and style bars. The successful candidate will also lead the development and execution of Key Accounts’ Business Plans, also known as JUCPs, to achieve agreed objectives, profit/NSV targets, and brand growth goals.

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing the performance and growth of key business channels across both off-trade and on-trade environments.
The role involves developing and executing Key Accounts’ Business Plans to achieve mutually agreed commercial objectives, including profit, NSV, and brand growth targets. The role holder will also support the development of the Key Accounts on-trade channel.
Key channels include:
- Supermarkets and convenient stores
- Petro-marts
- Duty-free outlets
- Hotels
- Clubs
- Style bars
- Take-home business channels
Planning
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing business plans that support EABL’s commercial objectives and strengthen the route-to-market value chain.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing business plans with key accounts using defined KPIs.
- Increasing route-to-market value chain efficiency.
- Driving both volume “push” and “pull” across supermarkets and consumers.
- Defining and delivering strong off-trade business plans.
- Supporting the implementation of strategies based on a total alcohol and one-portfolio approach.
- Identifying emerging off-trade trends and consumer insights.
- Developing activity plans at key account level.
- Implementing innovative retail activities.
- Developing CDOS plans and activities that match brands with available opportunities.
- Supporting a one-portfolio approach across beer and spirits.
- Ensuring compliance with safety requirements in the work environment.
On-Trade Responsibilities
The role also involves building strong customer relationships and supporting the growth of EABL’s brands within the on-trade channel.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building positive relationships with TLA and RLA customer partners.
- Working with customers to develop and implement activities aligned with growth drivers in the Reserve strategy.
- Driving the highest standards of execution for EABL brands in trade outlets.
- Ensuring excellence in commercial execution and activations.
- Managing and implementing key sales drivers, including:
- Quality
- Visibility
- Distribution
- Promotion
- Pricing
- Persuasion
- Public relations
- Implementing QDVP4 standards across both on-trade and off-trade outlets.
- Supporting the implementation of capability and advocacy programs.
- Acting as the key brand consultant for Marketing in developing and driving trade activities.
- Ensuring trade activities support and achieve brand objectives.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in business administration or a related field.
Experience
Applicants should have:
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience.
- At least 2 years of experience as an Area Business Partner or Customer Relationship Representative.
