This hands-on position suits a geologist who combines strong field experience, geochemistry knowledge, and innovative problem-solving with a drive for value-focused results.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize tailings operations, including geochemistry, stability monitoring, water balance, and reclamation planning.
- Lead the tailings reprocessing program, targeting low-cost additional recovery.
- Design, supervise, and log RC and diamond drilling programs for exploration and grade control.
- Conduct drill data analysis, 3D interpretation, resource model updates, and reconciliation.
- Perform geochemical sampling, analysis, and interpretation (acid-base accounting, metal leaching, tailings liquor chemistry).
- Identify and implement low-cost, high-impact exploration methods (soil geochemistry, geophysics integration, machine-learning targeting).
- Prepare technical reports, budgets, and presentations for management and regulators.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovative solutions for tailings reprocessing, water treatment, and resource extension.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or related field.

- Strong understanding of tailings geochemistry.
- Proven record of cost-effective exploration targeting and brownfields resource growth.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to think creatively and challenge conventional approaches.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and make timely decisions.
- Willingness to spend significant time in the field and on-site.
Personal Attributes
- Innovative mindset with a focus on sustainability and long-term value creation.
- Self-starter with strong ownership of outcomes.
