We are looking for a motivated and highly experienced individual to fill the position of:

1. Internal communication-intern

Purpose

The internal communication officer is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing effective internal communication strategies that promote employee engagement, strengthen organizational culture, and ensure smooth flow of information across the organization.

Main responsibilities

  • Develop and implement internal communication plans and strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Prepare and distribute internal communication materials, including announcements, newsletters, memos, notices, and staff updates.
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, internal campaigns, and corporate events.
  • Manage internal communication channels such as email communications, intranet, notice boards, and internal social platforms.
  • Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of organizational information to employees.
  • Support management communication initiatives and change management programs.
  • Collaborate with different departments to gather and share relevant organizational updates.
  • Assist in developing communication content, including speeches, presentations, reports, and employee messages.
  • Promote company culture, values, and employee recognition initiatives.
  • Monitor employee feedback and communication effectiveness to improve engagement.
  • Maintain internal communication records, calendars, and reports.
  • Support crisis communication and urgent employee announcements when required.
  • Ensure all communication materials maintain brand consistency and professionalism.

Minimum qualifications & experience

Academic

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Journalism, Human Resource Management, Marketing, or related field.

Experience

  • 2–4 years’ experience in internal communication, public relations, corporate communication, or related role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili.
  • Strong knowledge of communication tools and digital platforms.
  • Experience in content writing, employee engagement, and event coordination.

Key competencies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong writing and editing abilities.
  • Creativity and innovation.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
