HelpAge Tanzania is seeking a qualified, competent and motivated candidate for the position of Integrated Care Nurse (ICN).
Job purpose
The Integrated Care Nurse is responsible for delivering person-centred, holistic and integrated care services to:
- Older people
- Persons with disabilities
- People with serious or chronic medical conditions
- Unaccompanied and separated children
- Other marginalised People with Specific Needs (PSNs) in Nyarugusu refugee camps
The role focuses on improving quality of life, functional ability, comfort, dignity and psychosocial wellbeing through:
- Preventive care
- Curative care
- Rehabilitative care
- Supportive care
- End-of-life care, where appropriate
These services will be provided within a humanitarian context.
The Integrated Care Nurse will work closely with health facilities, protection teams, community structures and humanitarian partners to ensure coordinated and continuous care.

Education and qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- A relevant bachelor’s degree in Nursing or another related field.
- Valid professional registration for nursing and other health-related roles.
Experience and competencies
Applicants should have:
- Relevant professional experience in humanitarian and/or development programming.
- A strong understanding of gender equality, disability inclusion, safeguarding and protection principles.
- Experience working with NGOs, INGOs and community-based structures.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
- A high level of integrity and commitment to HelpAge Tanzania’s values.
