ROLE SUMMARY

The IT Technician Officer will be responsible for providing technical support, maintaining IT systems and networks, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of the company's IT infrastructure.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networks and troubleshooting.
• Experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and MS Office.
• Basic knowledge of networking (LAN, WAN, IP addressing, routing).
• Ability to install, configure and maintain computer systems and peripherals.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, configure and maintain computer systems, hardware and software.
• Provide technical support to staff for hardware, software and network issues.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot IT problems and provide timely solutions.
• Maintain and monitor the company's network and internet connectivity.
• Perform regular system updates, backups and data security measures.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls.
• Maintain IT inventory and ensure proper usage of equipment.
• Ensure the security and integrity of company data and IT systems.
• Assist in IT projects and new technology implementations.
