Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and supervision of hydrostatic testing across all 3 LOTs of the pipeline.
- Review, validate, and approve pressure test plans, procedures, and final reports.
- Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, and site supervision teams to ensure alignment and readiness.
- Manage on-site hydrostatic testing activities, ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Interface with the Owner’s team, third parties, and project stakeholders during all testing phases.
- Ensure all testing work complies with ASME, API, ISO, and project-specific standards.
- Track testing progress, troubleshoot technical issues, and report regularly to the Project Manager.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including test records, punch lists, and non-conformance reports.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Pipeline Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of direct experience in pipeline pressure testing, especially with large-diameter, long-distance pipelines.
- Proven ability to manage hydrostatic testing across multi-lot or multi-team environments.
- Strong background in test plan development, execution, and troubleshooting under field conditions.
Technical Skills
- In-depth knowledge of hydrostatic test standards, tools, and best practices.
- Ability to independently prepare, review, and execute pressure test documentation.
- Familiarity with international testing and integrity standards.
- Skilled in coordinating cross-functional teams in remote or cross-border settings.
Communication
- Proficient in English (spoken and written) with excellent technical writing and reporting skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective coordination with Owners, EPC teams, and third-party stakeholders.
Other Requirements
- Willing and able to relocate or rotate between Uganda and Tanzania as required.
- High level of professional responsibility, resilience in the field, and strong team collaboration.
- Experience working in multicultural, international project environments is highly desirable.
