We are inviting applications for the position of Human Resources and Administration Manager (HRAM) at the SolidarMed Tanzania Country Office in Ifakara.
The Role
The HRAM will support the Country Office and the Tanzania Program in administration, logistics, procurement, personnel management, and limited financial management, including supporting the Country Program Accountant. Working closely with the Country Director, the HRAM will lead the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and digital tools that ensure compliance with Tanzanian laws, regulations, and international best practices, while improving program quality and impact.
Qualifications
We are seeking a motivated, committed, and dynamic professional with the following qualifications:
- A graduate degree in finance, accounts, procurement, business, administration, human resources, or related field.
- Minimum of five years’ relevant work experience, with a strong professional network.
- Experience working in an international NGO.
- Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills, including ability to engage with government stakeholders.
- Proactive, innovative, and solutions-oriented approach to improving processes and developing digital tools.
- Excellent understanding of Tanzanian regulations on taxes and salaries.
- Strong computer skills.
- Good command of English (written and spoken).
- Team-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills and adaptability in dynamic environments.
- Creative, flexible, and strategic thinker.

- Maintain personnel files.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment, including drafting job descriptions and participating in interviews.
- Prepare monthly payroll.
- Develop HR-related documents and procedures for SolidarMed Tanzania.
- Strengthen adherence to staff regulations as described in the Organization Handbook, in collaboration with the Country Director and HRAM of SolidarMed Switzerland.
- Prepare, order, and monitor approved purchases and services.
- Ensure all procurements comply with policies and procedures.
- Support the development and enforcement of procurement standards in the Organization Handbook.
- Actively identify cost-efficient procurement processes and suppliers.
- Supervise Country Office drivers and ensure vehicles are properly checked, taxed, insured, and maintained.
- Lead logistical arrangements for visitors.
- Report security concerns to the Country Director.
- Strengthen procedures related to logistics and security in the Organization Handbook.
- Supervise support staff (security personnel, cleaners, interns).
- Oversee IT support and both virtual and physical filing systems.
- Ensure the availability of office supplies and stationery.
- Manage office assets.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of office management procedures.
- Ensure all organizational registrations are up to date.
- Ensure compliance with all SolidarMed policies, particularly integrity policies.
- Develop interventions to prevent policy breaches in collaboration with the Country Director and Focal Person Integrity.
- Participate actively in program management team meetings.
- Engage in identifying new donors and partnership opportunities.
- Proactively search for potential donors and maintain an updated donor overview.
- Monitor and share new calls for proposals with the management team.
- Support payroll preparation and salary administration.
- Assist the Program Accountant during audit processes.
