Department: Housekeeping & Laundry

Reports To: Housekeeping Floor Supervisor

Job Purpose

Provide operational support to the Housekeeping Department by ensuring housekeeping staff have the necessary supplies, maintaining cleanliness of service areas and public spaces, handling the movement of furniture and equipment, and assisting in room setup to support efficient hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver clean linen, towels, guest amenities, and housekeeping supplies to housekeeping pantries and service areas.
• Collect soiled linen and waste from guest floors and transport them to designated laundry or disposal areas.
• Assist Room Attendants with moving beds, furniture, mattresses, and heavy equipment during room cleaning or deep-cleaning projects.
• Clean and maintain housekeeping service areas, storage rooms, staff corridors, and back-of-house areas.
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from guest rooms and public areas.
• Set up meeting rooms, banquet venues, and guest rooms as instructed.
• Assist with periodic deep cleaning of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas.
• Report maintenance defects, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Ensure housekeeping carts and storage areas are organized and adequately stocked.
• Follow hotel health, hygiene, and safety procedures at all times.
• Support emergency cleaning requirements such as spills, floods, or other incidents.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Executive Housekeeper.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
• Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning services, or hospitality is an advantage.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy items.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
