Job Purpose
The successful candidate will ensure the proper documentation, reporting, and compliance with safety regulations, as well as assisting in the development and implementation of HSE programs.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to HSE system users, troubleshoot issues, access administration and facilitate training sessions for employees on system usage.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into HSE systems, monitor data integrity, and generate reports to track key performance indicators and compliance metrics.
- Support the onboarding of new employees and contractors including induction, training and access administration on HSE systems and mill access systems.
- Collaborate with HSE personnel to analyse system data, identify trends, and provide insights for decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Maintain up-to-date HSE management system and document control, including system configurations, workflows, and standards.
- Coordinate the Corrective and Preventative Action program and identify improvement opportunities and communicate the status of corrective action plans.
- Coordinate the work of the Internal Audit and HSE Team.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to optimize HSE system workflows, enhance user experience, and align system capabilities with changing business needs.
- Maintain the documented and electronic versions of all SOPs within the HSE Management System, using an effective record keeping system is applied and maintained in accordance with ISO requirements.
- Assist in the compilation of HSE reports, including the Annual HSE Report.
- Co-ordinate other administrative functions for the HSE i.e. training arrangements, ordering of stationery and stationery stock control, filing etc.
- Promote and adhere to BU and Group procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to HSE, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC)
Job Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Safety, Risk Management, Environment or equivalent
- Relevant certifications in system administration, database management, IT security, or HSE management systems (such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Proficiency in system administration tools, database management, and HSE software systems. Knowledge of networking, cybersecurity principles, and system integration.
- 2 years prior experience in system administration, preferably in a role that involved managing HSE systems or related applications.
- Experience with incident reporting systems, risk assessment software, compliance management tools, or environmental management platforms may be required
Terms of Service: The successful candidate will be engaged on a Permanent Contract.
