Job Description
A leading construction company is seeking an experienced Head of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) to lead and strengthen its safety culture, environmental compliance, and occupational health initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
- Ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations and standards.
- Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action programs.
- Drive workplace safety awareness and training initiatives.
- Monitor environmental compliance and sustainability programs.
- Provide strategic leadership on health, safety, and environmental matters across project sites.
- Prepare HSE reports and performance metrics for management review.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are mandatory.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the Construction or Manufacturing industry.
- At least 4 years in a leadership or management role within HSE.
- Strong understanding of HSE legislation, risk management, environmental compliance, and incident investigation.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective HSE management systems.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting abilities.
- Ability to drive a proactive safety culture across multiple sites and teams.
