Job Description
Location: Zanzibar
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Company: Offshore Mooring Limited
Deadline: 14th August 2026
We are seeking to recruit an experienced Head of Mooring & Bunkering Operations to lead and oversee all mooring and bunkering activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant marine operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all mooring, unmooring, and bunkering operations while ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Manage mooring crews, bunkering teams, contractors, and operational resources.
- Develop, implement, and enforce operational procedures, safety standards, risk assessments, and emergency response protocols.
- Coordinate with vessel Masters, pilots, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless vessel turnaround.
- Monitor equipment integrity, oversee maintenance of mooring and bunkering assets, manage fuel quality, documentation, and drive continuous operational improvement.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8-10 years' experience in marine terminal operations, mooring, bunkering, or port operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations.
- Proven experience in managing marine safety, planning, and stakeholder coordination.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
