About the job

To lead and manage the Human Resources and Administration function by overseeing the full employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with labour laws and company policies, driving employee engagement and organizational development, and supporting the achievement of business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, employee relations, performance management, employee development, and offboarding while ensuring efficient HR service delivery.
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies by partnering with hiring managers, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and supporting workforce planning to meet organizational staffing needs.
  • Design and implement HR programs covering employee engagement, training and development, talent management, succession planning, change management, team building, and employee experience initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with labour legislation, HR policies, compensation and benefits administration, disciplinary processes, grievance handling, and maintenance of accurate HR systems and employee records.
  • Supervise and develop the HR team while providing strategic HR guidance to management, utilizing HR data and reporting to improve organizational performance and culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an HR managerial role, preferably within the microfinance or financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, recruitment and selection, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and HR policy implementation.
  • Experience using HR systems and managing HR operations, workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational development initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, organizational, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills with a high level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
