JOB DETAILS:

TPC Ltd is one of the respected sugar producing companies in Tanzania. The company is situated at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, 22kms south of Moshi Municipality. Applications are invited from qualified, energetic, proactive, and dynamic Tanzanians to fill the following vacant position.

JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Guard Security will assist the Security Operations Manager in maintaining the safety and security of the estate, ensuring a secure environment for all operations, events, and the surrounding community.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):

• Ensure security for all state operations and events.
• To ensure all people in the estate and the community at large are secure.
• Keep alert for people with unusual behavior/attitude around the estate.
• Performing general activities as a Security Guard.
• Ensure that all incidents during the shift are reported.
• To be fully familiar with Post Orders and operational environment
• Performing any other legitimate task as may be assigned by his/her Superior.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certificate of Secondary Education, with militia or army certification or an equivalent qualification.
• A combination of relevant academic qualifications and at least 2 years of experience in the security or military field is an advantage.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Should demonstrate the ability to promote team work among co-workers.
• Basic Knowledge as a Security Guard or Military.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving.
• Good verbal and written communication skills (i.e. English and Swahili).
• Ability to notice and act upon unusual or suspicious activities to maintain security.
• Maintains the required level of physical fitness (fit enough to spend long periods on their feet) to perform security duties, including patrolling and responding to emergencies
• Flexibility in handling various security tasks, shifts, and changing conditions with a positive attitude.

BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Alignment to TPC Core Values.
• Prioritizes the safety and well-being of all people on the premises.
• Takes proactive steps to address security issues or potential threats.
