Responsibilities or duties

Donor Budget Tracking: Monitor real-time expenditure against specific donor grant budgets and issue alerts to the Finance Officer when spending approaches allocated thresholds.

Sub-grantee Support: Assist in the financial review and verification of expense reports submitted by sub-grantees or field partners to ensure they align with approved activity budgets.

Procurement Support: Facilitate the financial processing of procurement requests by obtaining quotations, preparing payment requisitions, and ensuring VAT/exemption documentation is attached.

Data Entry and Coding: Enter all approved financial data into the accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or SAP) with strict adherence to the organization's chart of accounts and donor cost categories.

Cash Flow Projections: Assist in preparing weekly cash flow forecasts to ensure sufficient liquidity is available for planned project activities.

Grant Close-out: Compile final financial documentation and inventory lists required for donor grant close-out procedures and project completion reports.
