Job Summary:

The General Worker provides essential manual labor and support to various departments (operations, construction, or maintenance). This role involves cleaning, material handling, site preparation, and assisting skilled tradespeople with daily tasks to ensure continuous operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manual Labor:

• Perform general physical tasks such as lifting, loading/unloading materials, digging, and sweeping.
• Assist maintenance teams with cleaning tools, carrying spare parts, and preparing work areas.

Site Maintenance:

• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, rest areas, and access roads.
• Collect and segregate waste (including scrap metal and recyclables) according to site protocol.

Safety:

• Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Attend daily safety briefings (Toolbox Talks).
• Report any unsafe conditions or hazards to the Supervisor.

Assistance:

• Help machine operators or tradesmen with tasks as directed (e.g., holding tools, setting up scaffolding).

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Basic literacy required).

Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in a labor-intensive role (mining, construction, or agriculture preferred).

Physical:

• Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 25 kgs (50 lbs) and work in varied weather conditions.
