Manyara Best View Lodge is seeking an energetic, hands-on General Manager to run our hospitality operations. This role combines premium guest hosting, team leadership, strict quality control, and administrative precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Experience & Hosting: Welcome guests, conduct lodge briefings, actively host meal times, and swiftly resolve complaints.
  • Quality & Hygiene Audits: Conduct daily checks on housekeeping standards, public spaces, table setups, and kitchen food hygiene.
  • Operations & Admin: Review daily day sheets, verify guest itineraries, dietary needs, allergies, and log extra shop/bar/spa revenue.
  • Team Leadership: Support all departments, enforce the dress code, manage leave schedules, and conduct biannual staff appraisals.
  • Kitchen & Stock Control: Oversee weekly food/beverage ordering, kitchen recipe compliance, and execute monthly inventory stock takes.
  • Health & Safety: Maintain up-to-date staff first aid, fire, and food-handler certificates while ensuring all guests sign arrival waivers.

Candidates Requirements

  • Industry Experience: Proven background in lodge management or high-end hospitality operations.
  • Flexibility: Fully comfortable adapting to changing shifts and hours within a demanding 24-hour lodge environment.
  • Leadership Style: Exceptional relationship builder with an eye for detail, strong communication skills, and high emotional intelligence.
  • Ownership: Strong accountability for administrative accuracy, stock control, and property maintenance reporting.
