Position: Fuel Officer

Key responsibilities
The Fuel Officer will be responsible for:
- Managing and controlling all fuel operations, including receiving, issuing, storage, and reconciliation.
- Monitoring fuel stock levels and ensuring the accuracy of fuel records.
- Processing fuel transactions and maintaining accurate data in the SAP system.
- Generating reports and analysing fuel consumption and trends.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and safety procedures.
- Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders on fuel-related matters.
- Ensuring the efficient use of fuel and reducing losses and wastage.
- Supporting audits and providing the necessary documentation.
Qualifications and experience
Candidates must have:
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Purchasing and Supplies, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in fuel management or a related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Hands-on experience with the SAP system, which is mandatory.
- Knowledge of the Employment and Labour Relations Act (ELRA) and occupational health and safety, which will be an added advantage.

- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Proficiency in computer applications and the SAP system.
