Background

Dentons EALC East African Law Chambers is a leading law firm committed to delivering high-quality legal and professional services across the East African region. The firm is seeking to recruit a competent, professional, and highly organized Front Desk Officer/Receptionist to oversee front office operations and support daily administrative activities. The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors while ensuring smooth coordination of communication, correspondence, and office support services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all incoming and outgoing mail, parcels, and courier services including DHL and Post Office dispatches.
  • Maintain accurate records and logbooks for correspondence and dispatch activities.
  • Receive, record, and distribute incoming letters and documents appropriately.
  • Ensure proper sequencing, filing, and dispatch of outgoing correspondence.
  • Welcome visitors and professionally manage incoming telephone calls.
  • Ensure the reception area remains presentable, organized, and functional at all times.
  • Coordinate staff and visitor travel arrangements including flights and accommodation bookings.
  • Report and follow up on office maintenance issues and repairs.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in front desk operations or customer service roles.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
