Responsibilities
Strategic Fleet Planning: Develop and implement long-term fleet strategies, including vehicle acquisition, replacement schedules, and fleet expansion to meet business growth demands.
Budgeting & Cost Control: Prepare and manage the annual fleet budget, monitoring fuel costs, maintenance expenses, insurance premiums, and depreciation to maximize cost-efficiency.
Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure the entire fleet complies with all local and cross-border transport regulations, including licensing, permits, road safety laws, and environmental standards.
Performance Management: Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for fleet operations, including vehicle uptime, fuel efficiency, delivery punctuality, and cost-per-kilometer.
Vendor & Supplier Management: Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vehicle manufacturers, spare parts suppliers, fuel providers, and external maintenance workshops.
Safety Program Implementation: Establish and enforce comprehensive fleet safety policies, driver wellness programs, and accident prevention initiatives across all routes.
Reporting to Senior Management: Prepare and present detailed monthly/quarterly fleet performance reports, risk assessments, and improvement plans to executive leadership.
