Job Summary:

The Finance Supervisor/Tax Specialist oversees daily financial operations and ensures strict compliance with local tax regulations. This dual role involves managing the finance team while handling complex tax planning, filing, and advisory duties.

Responsibilities or duties:

• Supervise the daily operations of the finance team (cashiers, accountants).
• Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Manage all tax compliance matters (VAT, PAYE, Corporate Tax, Withholding Tax).
• File accurate tax returns and ensure timely payments to avoid penalties.
• Liaise with tax authorities during audits or inspections.
• Develop and implement internal financial controls and tax-saving strategies.
• Review general ledger entries and bank reconciliations.

Qualifications or requirements 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or CTA) is mandatory.
• In-depth knowledge of local tax laws and GAAP.

Experience needed:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 2 years in taxation.

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

Experience in Months: 60

Level of Education: professional certificate
