Background
Karibu Tanzania Organization (KTO) is a national-level, member-based Non-Governmental Organization that has been working with Folk Development Colleges (FDCs) in Tanzania since the 1990s. As an umbrella organization, KTO strengthens the capacity of FDCs to promote adult education, folk education, community development, and vocational training, primarily serving young adults in rural communities.
Programs Currently Implemented:
- Elimu Haina Mwisho – Skills Development Program for Young Women (54 FDCs)
- Mpira Fursa – Tanzania Women Football Program (54 FDCs)
- Expanded Access to Early Childhood Development (ECD) Training – (15 FDCs)
KTO invites applications from qualified and reputable consulting firms to provide Finance and Administration Consultancy Services. The consultancy services will primarily support operations in Zanzibar, with activities covering both Zanzibar and Dar es Salaam.The selected firm will support KTO in financial and administrative systems, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements, and enhancing audit preparedness.
Scope of Services
The Finance and Administration Consultant (Firm) will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Supporting financial and administrative systems, policies, and procedures.
- Reviewing financial reports in line with approved budgets and donor requirements
- Ensuring compliance with organizational policies, donor agreements, and applicable financial laws and regulations
- Supporting internal and external audit processes, including preparation and review of audit documentation
- Supporting procurement processes, payroll oversight, and general administrative functions as required
Firm Qualifications and Experience
Interested firms must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Legally registered consulting or accounting firm
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience providing finance and administration consultancy services
- Demonstrated experience working with donor-funded projects, NGOs, or development organizations
- At least one key personnel registered with NBAA and/or holding a CPA qualification
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and donor compliance requirements
- Demonstrated capacity to deliver services in Zanzibar and Dar es Salaam, with ability to provide physical support in Zanzibar when required.
Duration of Assignment
The duration and specific terms of the consultancy will be defined in the contract
