Background

Aids Care Foundation (ACF) is a non-governmental organization committed to improving the lives of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS through quality healthcare services, community outreach, education, prevention, advocacy, and support programs. Operating with a vision of creating healthier and empowered communities, ACF works alongside governments, healthcare providers, and local partners to expand access to essential HIV/AIDS care and treatment across the globe.

As part of the expansion of our Tanzania Country Program, ACF is inviting qualified, passionate, and dedicated individuals to apply for the position of Field Officer.

Role Context

The Field Officer will support the implementation of ACF's HIV/AIDS healthcare and community intervention programs at the regional level. The successful candidate will coordinate field activities, engage communities, strengthen partnerships with local health facilities, and ensure effective delivery of healthcare services and awareness programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement HIV/AIDS healthcare and community outreach activities.
• Conduct community mobilization and awareness campaigns on HIV prevention, testing, treatment, and stigma reduction.
• Support linkage of clients to healthcare facilities and treatment services.
• Collect, verify, and submit accurate field data and reports.
• Monitor project implementation and provide regular progress updates.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local government authorities, health facilities, community leaders, and partner organizations.
• Organize community meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
• Support monitoring and evaluation activities.
• Identify challenges affecting project implementation and recommend practical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with ACF policies, donor requirements, and ethical standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Public Health, Community Development, Social Work, Nursing, Clinical Medicine, Health Sciences, or any related field.
• At least one (1) year of experience working with NGOs, community health projects, or healthcare programs (fresh graduates with strong volunteer experience are encouraged to apply).
• Knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care, and community health programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong report writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluency in both English and Kiswahili.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
