• Meal Preparation: Prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks for students and staff according to approved menus and recipes.
• Menu Planning: Assist in planning balanced, nutritious, and age-appropriate menus, considering dietary requirements and preferences.
• Food Safety: Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene standards (proper handling, storage, cooking temperatures, and sanitation) to prevent foodborne illnesses.
• Kitchen Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment, including all equipment, utensils, and surfaces.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of food supplies and ingredients, communicating low-stock items to the supervisor for reordering.
• Special Dietary Needs: Prepare special meals for children with allergies, medical conditions, or dietary restrictions as directed.
• Portion Control: Ensure proper portion sizes are served according to school guidelines.
• Waste Management: Minimize food waste and ensure proper disposal of kitchen waste.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal service.
