JOB DETAILS:

Nature and scope:

The Extension Officer will support farmers through training, research collaboration, data collection, and promoting good agricultural practices to improve crop productivity. Workstation will be Lukula, Kitunda in Sikonge District.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Research & Field Trials

Farmer Training & Extension

Data Collection & Reporting

Planning & Advisory

• Participates in planning crop production.
• Provides ongoing farm level advisory services.
• Performs other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture from a recognized institution.
• Knowledge of crop production and good agricultural practices (GAP).
• Understanding of agricultural research and extension methods.
• Skills in farmer training, communication, and advisory services.
• Ability to collect, analyze, and report field data
• Basic proficiency in ICT tools (smartphone apps, MS Office).

Work Experience:

• Minimum of one (1) years of relevant work experience.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: bachelor degree
