Excavator Operator
Department: Operations / Land Development
Reports To: Bush Clearing / Land Development Supervisor
Job Purpose:
Operate excavators for digging, trenching, loading, and earthmoving activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate excavator for excavation, trenching, loading, and clearing.
- Conduct daily machine checks and report faults.
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors.
- Maintain daily logs of hours, fuel, and work done.
- Ensure safe operation around personnel and structures.
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid excavator operator certification.
- 3+ years' experience on tracked/wheeled excavators.
Skills & Competencies:
- Precise digging and loading
- Machine maintenance basics
- Safety and hazard awareness
- Physical stamina
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 36
Level of Education: professional certificate
