Background

This role is for an Events & Programs Manager within an NGO sector in Dar es Salaam. The position involves overseeing and managing various programs and events to ensure successful implementation and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee NGO program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Develop and manage annual program plans and timelines.
• Coordinate and deliver events and initiatives within budget and quality standards.
• Monitor performance and prepare reports for stakeholders and donors.
• Build and maintain relationships with key partners and authorities.
• Manage program resources, budgets, and support teams according to policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree /Master's in project management, public relation or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in program management or event coordination.
• Prior experience working with NGOs or in the development sector.
• Strong understanding of the Tanzanian socio-political environment, especially Dar es Salaam.
• Fluency in both English and Swahili, written and spoken.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects effectively.
