Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the lower secondary curriculum (grammar, composition, reading comprehension, vocabulary).
• Develop students’ writing skills (narrative, descriptive, expository, and persuasive essays).
• Teach literature appreciation (short stories, poems, age-appropriate novels).
• Assess and track student progress via quizzes, assignments, and term exams.
• Provide remedial support and extension activities.
• Prepare students for lower secondary checkpoint assessments (if applicable).
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and reports.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, English Education, or related field.
• Teaching certification (PGCE, Diploma in Education, or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching English at lower secondary level.
