Responsibilities

  • The Engineering Intern will support engineering and site teams in scaffolding operations, including design assistance, inspections, documentation, and technical problem-solving. The role provides exposure to construction site activities, engineering standards, and safety compliance procedures. Internships
  • Assist in the design, inspection, installation, and maintenance of scaffolding systems
  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation
  • Participate in site inspections, engineering assessments, and project supervision activities
  • Support technical problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project requirements
  • Assist in monitoring scaffolding structures for safety and structural integrity
  • Support reporting and documentation of engineering activities and site progress
  • Participate in team discussions and technical planning sessions
  • Perform any other engineering-related duties assigned by supervisors
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and construction site regulations

Qualification

  • Candidates applying for this internship should possess a strong academic background in engineering and a willingness to gain hands-on industry experience. The ideal candidate should demonstrate technical aptitude, adaptability, and strong communication skills. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent field
  • Tanzanian citizen who graduated between 2023 and 2025
  • Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., CAD or related tools)
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Good communication skills in both English and Swahili
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Basic understanding of construction or structural engineering principles (an added advantage)
  • Ability to work in field/site environments under supervision
