The Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of personnel, equipment, tools, and materials to and from the operational site. Duties include maintaining vehicle cleanliness, performing basic mechanical inspections, and strictly adhering to traffic and site driving regulations.

Responsibilities or duties

• Drive company vehicles (buses, light trucks, heavy vehicles) to transport staff and cargo safely.
• Follow designated routes and schedules while remaining adaptable to weather or traffic conditions.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections (tires, oil, brakes, lights).
• Report any accidents, breakdowns, or mechanical issues immediately.
• Keep vehicles clean, organized, and adequately fueled.
• Obey all traffic laws, site speed limits, and safety regulations.
• Ensure all passengers wear seatbelts and cargo is securely loaded.
• Manage waybills, logbooks, and delivery paperwork accurately.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

• Education: High School Diploma.
• Licenses: Valid Driver’s License for the class of vehicle operated (e.g., Class B, C, or CE). A Defensive Driving Certificate is an advantage.
• Medical: Fit to drive with good vision and hearing.
• High sense of responsibility and reliability.
• Punctuality and time management.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Experience needed

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional driving experience, preferably off-road or in a mining/construction environment.
