The Direct Sales Representative (DSR) is responsible for promoting and selling the company's products or services directly to customers. The role involves identifying new sales opportunities, acquiring new customers, maintaining strong client relationships, and achieving assigned sales targets. The DSR also represents the company professionally in the field while ensuring excellent customer service and accurate reporting of sales activities.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Promote and sell the company’s products and services to customers.
  • Identify and acquire new customers within the assigned territory.
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Visit retail outlets and customers as per the assigned route plan.
  • Take customer orders and ensure proper follow-up for delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Ensure product visibility and proper brand representation in the market.
  • Submit daily sales reports and market feedback to the supervisor.
  • Monitor competitor activities and report market trends.
  • Provide excellent customer service and handle basic inquiries.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Target-driven with the ability to meet sales goals.
  • Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.
  • Good customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Willingness to work in the field and travel within assigned areas.
  • Basic computer and smartphone literacy.
  • Honest, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
  • Valid identification (e.g., National ID) and the ability to report to assigned work locations as required.

Experience needed

  • Previous experience in sales or customer service is an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of sales techniques and customer relationship management.
  • Experience in field sales is an added advantage.
