Job Summary
The Dentist is responsible for providing comprehensive oral healthcare services, including the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of dental diseases and conditions. The role promotes oral health through patient education, preventive care, and evidence-based clinical practice while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine patients to assess oral health and diagnose dental conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Perform routine and advanced dental procedures, including restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, and preventive treatments within the scope of practice.
- Provide oral health education and preventive care guidance to patients.
- Prescribe medications when clinically indicated.
- Interpret dental radiographs and diagnostic tests.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing professional development.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent qualification.
- Valid practicing license from the relevant regulatory authority.
- Minimum of 2 years' clinical experience.
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, and communication skills.
- Commitment to ethical practice and patient-centered care.
