About Us

Lemala Camps & Lodges is seeking an experienced and dynamic Country General Manager to lead our Tanzania operations. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will oversee our luxury camps and lodges, DMC, logistics, fleet, procurement and support services, ensuring operational excellence, exceptional guest experiences and strong business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute operational strategy across the Tanzania business.
  • Drive excellence in guest experience, service standards and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee multi-site operations, budgets, infrastructure and resource management.
  • Lead, mentor and develop high-performing teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards and local regulations.
  • Strengthen relationships with government authorities, communities and key stakeholders.
  • Champion sustainability, conservation and responsible tourism initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Tourism or related field (MBA advantageous).
  • Minimum 10 years' leadership experience in hospitality or tourism.
  • At least 8 years managing multi-site operations.
  • Extensive experience in the luxury safari/lodge sector.
  • Strong operational, financial and people leadership skills.
  • Experience with an inbound DMC or integrated tourism business is an advantage.
  • East Africa experience highly desirable.
