The CFS Supervisor will lead and manage daily Container Freight Station (CFS) and yard operations, ensuring seamless cargo movement, effective resource utilization, and adherence to operational, safety, and compliance standards.

Qualifications or Requirements

Who We Are Looking For

Someone with:

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain or related fields.
  • Competence working with TRA systems.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work rotational shifts as required by business needs.

Experience Needed

At least 3 – 5 years’ experience leading a team in terminal/port operations.

Proven team leadership experience.

Ability to demonstrate strong leadership and teamwork, fostering collaboration and driving a high-performing team environment.

  • Manage the day-to-day Container Freight Station (CFS) operations and oversee all CFS yard activities, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant operations.
  • Demonstrate a customer-centric approach by consistently delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Provide robust and visible safety leadership and alignment to eliminate potential hazards in the CFS.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly reports for different stakeholders.
  • Foster strong collaboration within the team and across departments to ensure alignment and effective teamwork.
  • Maintain asset records and ensure optimal utilization of equipment (reach stackers, forklifts and other company assets).
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and positive business outcomes.
  • Pursue volume targets and consistent customer traction.
  • Set performance targets for direct reports and monitor progress against agreed objectives.
  • Promote and maintain high levels of team engagement, motivation, and performance.
  • Ensure all CFS operations are conducted in accordance with A.P. Moller - Maersk's Health and Safety policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure operational documents are updated in Masterfile (LOGSTAR/IFS/SOPs)
  • Attract, develop and retain talent through frequent operational/system training at the CFS.
  • Manage the performance and development of direct reports through regular appraisals and approve leave requests in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitor and manage 48-hour and 10-day yard stock takes, reconciling physical container stock and security registers with system records to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate and timely daily updates of operational data within all relevant systems.
  • Responsible for all yard operations performance.
  • Promptly report any operational issues, incidents, or deviations from standard procedures to the Site Manager and relevant management.
  • Track and report on internal stakeholder KPIs and other key performance indicators to monitor operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with IMS and HSSE policies and standards by maintaining up-to-date SOPs, process flows, and related documentation, while promoting a strong safety culture across the team.
  • Host daily and weekly operations meetings.
  • Identify development needs, plan training and growth opportunities for staff, and allocate resources effectively to support operational requirements.
  • Coordinate daily operational activities with vendors and service providers in accordance with established SOPs to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Ensure effective shift handovers are conducted in line with SOP requirements, maintaining operational continuity and clear communication between teams.
