Job Summary:
To support the Medical Officer in providing high-quality clinical care. The Clinical Officer will manage outpatient departments (OPD) and support inpatient care, focusing on diagnosis, treatment, and referral of patients.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide primary clinical care in the Outpatient Department (consultation, diagnosis, treatment).
- Perform physical examinations and history taking for all patients.
- Administer first aid and emergency care to stabilize patients before referral.
- Prescribe medication and manage patient treatment plans.
- Assist Medical Officers during surgical procedures and ward rounds.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, reporting critical changes to the Medical Officer.
- Ensure the proper maintenance of patient files and clinical notes.
- Participate in health talks and community outreach programs.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery.
- Registration: Enrolled with the relevant Clinical Officers Council.
- Experience: At least 1 year of clinical experience (internship completed).
- Skills: Diagnostic skills, patient handling, and teamwork.

Nyuma ya Chuo cha Kiislamu (MUM), Morogoro, Tanzania.
