Job Purpose:

To operate and maintain refrigeration and chilling systems to ensure optimal cooling capacity for production processes, storage facilities, or air conditioning in the Zanzibar plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor industrial chillers, refrigeration compressors, and cooling towers.
• Adjust system controls to maintain specified temperatures for processes or cold rooms.
• Conduct preventive maintenance (cleaning condenser/evaporator coils, checking refrigerant levels, lubricating parts).
• Monitor system performance, identify inefficiencies, and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain logs of operating parameters, maintenance activities, and refrigerant usage.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations regarding refrigerant handling (F-Gas regulations).
• Coordinate with production to understand cooling demand schedules.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent vocational training.
• Certificate in Safe Handling of Refrigerants.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating and maintaining industrial chilling systems.

• Ability to read and interpret pressure-temperature charts.
