The Opportunity

MEKONSULT is seeking a qualified and experienced Chief Accountant to oversee our financial operations, ensure compliance, and provide strategic financial guidance to support sustainable business growth.

Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (income, balance sheet, cash flow) in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with business strategy.

Internal Controls & Compliance: Establish and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.

Tax Planning & Compliance: Oversee tax planning, filing, and statutory compliance; liaise with tax authorities and external auditors.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize financial resource utilization.

Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to ensure high performance and adherence to best practices.

Financial Analysis & Advisory: Provide strategic insights and recommendations to management to support decision-making and growth.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any relevant field.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance.
• Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor, guide, and develop high-performing teams.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and influence decision-making at senior levels.
• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
