Job Overview:
The Chef is responsible for preparing high-quality, consistent, and creative dishes. You will work as part of a culinary team to execute the restaurant's menu, maintain kitchen standards, and contribute to an exceptional guest dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and plate dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is of the highest quality, freshness, and presentation.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP) in the kitchen.
- Assist with menu development and recipe costing.
- Manage kitchen inventory, stock rotation, and minimize waste.
- Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff (if applicable).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
Requirements:
- Relevant professional experience as a Chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel kitchen.
- Strong culinary skills and creativity.
- Knowledge of international cuisine and cooking techniques is an advantage.
- Understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a hot, busy environment.
- Professional appearance and commitment to excellence.
- Fluent English speaking skills are non-negotiable for kitchen coordination and training.
