We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Chef Manager with strong culinary and managerial expertise to oversee our catering operations and ensure exceptional meal service standards across all sites.
Key Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the catering industry, preferably with a professional catering company.
- Proven track record as an Executive Chef or Chef Manager, managing large-scale catering operations.
- Strong ability to design and execute multicultural menus with innovative, high-quality dishes.
- In-depth knowledge of menu planning, food production management, and cost control.
- Excellent leadership, supervision, and team management skills, including training and performance evaluation.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, inventory control, and procurement processes.
- Sound knowledge of HACCP principles, food safety, and statutory hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all kitchen and catering operations, ensuring consistent delivery of superior-quality meals and services.
- Prepare and manage kitchen budgets, including food, labor, and overhead costs.
- Monitor stock levels, conduct inventory checks, and ensure timely procurement of quality supplies.
- Maintain cost-efficiency while upholding high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
- Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen and catering staff to achieve operational excellence.
- Conduct performance appraisals, manage staff scheduling, and ensure effective duty delegation.
- Promote teamwork, discipline, and professional kitchen etiquette.
- Enforce hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards in compliance with company and statutory regulations.
- Conduct regular kitchen inspections and ensure full compliance with HACCP and food safety requirements.
- Collaborate with the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer to ensure safe working practices across operations.
- Engage with clients regularly to gather feedback and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Handle client complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring effective resolution.
- Conduct investigations and provide reports on food safety, hygiene, and operational compliance.
