Background

Tortilis Tanzania operates safari camps that provide visitors with authentic wildlife experiences combined with quality accommodation and personalized hospitality services. The company focuses on delivering memorable guest experiences while maintaining high standards of service, safety, and environmental responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the reservations department regarding guest arrivals and departures.
  • Welcome guests and provide orientation about the camp and its services.
  • Ensure guests receive exceptional service throughout their stay.
  • Work closely with camp staff and management to deliver memorable guest experiences.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and camp grounds to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are maintained.
  • Supervise staff duties while ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.
  • Coordinate back-of-house operations, including maintenance and asset management.
  • Manage staff movements in accordance with company policies.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports for the Operations Manager and Head Office.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Previous experience working in safari camps or similar hospitality establishments will be highly advantageous.
  • Education in Hospitality or Hotel Management is preferred.
  • Good command of spoken English.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in remote camp environments and manage daily operations efficiently.
