Job Purpose

To sell, promote, and guide CRDB Islamic Banking products and services for specified zone/s or focal areas, regions or segment of concentration.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Work hand in hand with branches by jointly visiting customers and processing their requests as per SLA.
  • Expand Islamic Banking business and knowledge to all staff through formal sessions with branches and zones.
  • Ensure branch and zonal deposits budget is met on Islamic Banking deposit product lines.
  • Develop strategic plans to ensure branches and zones lending objectives on Islamic Banking are achieved as per the communicated budget.
  • Ensure relationship officers and other business personnel proposals/applications are Shariah compliant as per determined standards.
  • Promote and support recruitment of new employers/customers that have potential for Islamic Banking.
  • Work together with RMs, ROs and other business teams to ensure Portfolio at Risk (PAR) and Non-Performing Loans (NPL) for Islamic Banking products are within bank-acceptable levels.
  • Possess wider knowledge of CRDB Bank’s products, especially Islamic Banking products and the local market.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or its equivalent.
  • At least 5 years’ banking experience and Customer Relationship Management.
  • Islamic Banking experience is an added advantage.
  • Strategic business awareness coupled with a clear understanding of the Bank’s products, handling, and building internal and customer relations.
  • Should also be aware of Performance Management and Change Management.
  • Self-empowerment to enable the development of open communication, teamwork, and trust that are needed to support performance and customer service-oriented culture.
  • Communication and presentation skills, planning and organizing skills, interpersonal and computer skills, coaching skills as well as reporting and analytical skills.
  • Credit Risk Assessment Strong analytical and Problem Solving.
  • Proficient in a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access).
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
