JOB DETAILS:

Job Profile:

Reports to the Zonal Manager, the Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new business relationships for the bank within the zone.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To achieve new business annual disbursement target in line with approved annual budget priorities.
• To generate regular market appraisal standards of bankable credit proposals.
• To maintain portfolio quality within the bank’s approved NPL threshold.
• To ensure timely credit submissions are complete, accurate, and assigned.
• To conduct structured market and sector analysis.
• To build and formalize relationships with credit and monitoring business leads.
• To contribute to preparation and execution of zonal business plan and budget.
• To submit regular progress and performance-aligned reports.
• To perform any other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience:

• University Graduate in Economics, Finance, Accounts, Banking, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Three (3) years of experience in areas where the bank can be more effective.
• Ability to evaluate credit proposals.
• Experience in interpreting financial statements.
• Sales opportunities that underline these areas.
