About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our Bolt Business team in Tanzania.
In this role, you will drive B2B sales growth by identifying opportunities, engaging potential clients, pitching Bolt’s business solutions, negotiating, and closing deals — primarily focusing on SMBs and SMEs.
This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to contribute to Bolt’s expansion and long-term success in the Tanzanian market.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire sales funnel, including lead generation, prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing deals.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships with small and mid-sized businesses.
- Develop and execute effective outreach strategies to attract new clients and expand Bolt’s B2B network.
- Achieve and exceed sales growth targets through strategic planning, performance analysis, and continuous optimisation.
- Share regular updates and sales insights with the management team.
- Provide market feedback to the Product team to help improve and adapt solutions to business needs.
- Identify and respond to emerging market trends, opportunities, and challenges.
About You
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in B2B sales, preferably in business services targeting SMEs and mid-sized companies.
- Proven track record in sales success, meeting or exceeding ambitious targets.
- Strong experience in client acquisition, negotiation, and revenue growth.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Swahili.
- Highly analytical and data-driven, with experience using CRM tools (preferably Salesforce).
- Strong initiative, problem-solving ability, and sense of ownership.
- A degree in Business, Sales, or a related field is advantageous.
